Always show Theca results at the bottom of the SERP

Why

The native search engine usually have lots of built in logic that we do not want to interfere with. By always showing Theca Ads at the end of SERP you will make sure the best of Theca is served to the user regardless of the performance of the native search (see example 1).

Alternatives we advise against

  1. Showing the Theca results to the right of the SERP: this options gives the ads from Theca higher exposure, but we think it leads to a "busier" UI and is not mobile friendly (see example 2).

  2. Only show Theca Ads if the local search engine does not return any hits: there is a risk you miss out on many opportunities in situations where the local search engine rewrites the text queries and returns irrelevant results (see example 3), or in situations where the local search engine only delivers a few hits (see example 4).

  3. Removing fuzzy search functions offered by the local search engine: although the fuzzy search might lead to irrelevant hits in some cases, it usually solves plenty of cases satisfactory. Shutting it off might lead to some lost opportunities. We advise to let the local search engine do its best with all its bells and whistles and use Theca as a permanent safety net at the bottom of the SERP.
